Don't know about it's popularity amongst Gay people but Buenos Aires is certainly a wonderful place to visit, wonderfully cheap, friendly people and excellent food.

I agree 100%. I spent 7 weeks down there last August and thoroughly enjoyed the exchange rate, atmosphere, and wonderful food. Unfortunately, Buenos Aires is full of escorts and bars where the beautiful women throw themselves at you for a price. The sex industry is booming. I dont know if B.A. has always been like that, or if this is the result of people out of money and options trying to get by. Seeing people so degraded with probably the most detracting element of B.A. for me.
