Actually, I haven't found this to be true. Dissenting viewpoints are not warmly welcomed, even when they raise intelligent points, (particularly about controversial issues) and I've been harrassed via freepmail by some particularly nasty people here on FR. And the admin mods seem to turn a blind eye to it, even when you complain.
Free Speech means having the right to set up your own website and freely associate with those you choose without the gubmint tossing you in the pokey.
The author, like spoiled children in general and retarded liberal Phds specifically, believe free speech means everyone else is obligated to provide them, free, a soapbox to regurgitate every single idiotic and filthy idea that creaps into their pot shriveled brains.
