In the interview Hersh said that he believed President Bush has given Donald Rumsfeld and his neoconservative cabal at the Pentagon the authority to go ahead with this planning, basically cutting the CIA out of the process. Hersh reports, incredulously, that the Pentagon views war against terrorism as a global phenomenon with Iraq being just one campaign. Duh!.

Maybe libs would better see the war on terror if it were framed in a way they understand.
Remind them that to the majority of Americans the war on terror is like the libs war on conservatives.
The dems don`t limit their attacks to just President Bush.He is just one battle in what they consider to be the most important issue.
Not a silly thing like terrorists who want to kill us all.
Perhaps this will allow them to see the war on terror more clearly.

"It's time that the New Media jumped all over this and called into question Hersh, the Old Media and their unpatriotic reporting here."

"If tipping off the enemy isn't unpatriotic can you tell me what is? And don't you dare tell me the public has a right to know. There are certain things the public must not know, because if it knows, so does the enemy."

It's time that the New Media jumped all over this and called into question Hersh, the Old Media and their unpatriotic reporting here. Yes, I said it: unpatriotic. If tipping off the enemy isn't unpatriotic can you tell me what is?

With all the leaker's activities inside the CIA Bush certainly would increase failure rates by trusting the CIA.
Keeping things as close to the west as possible is sound policy.
The less dissemination the better. Let those who have to dig in the front lines do the planing stages also.
Even the CIA's house organ the NTY will have to wait for news instead of making pre announcements.
