One of the victims, 47-year-old Hossam Armanious, spent some of his spare time in chat rooms devoted to the Egyptian religious sect, at times proselytizing and at times writing about persecution of Coptic Christians by Muslims, family friends said. Armanious' hobby took a dark turn about two months ago, friends said, when he was threatened after writing comments deemed an insult to Islam by another person logged in to a chat site. "Some Muslim guys said if you don't stop this, we're going to come out and kill you," said a family friend, who requested anonymity, citing fears for his safety.

If Muslim terrorist start attacking innocent civilians over here in the U.S. I believe they will be in for a surprise. I don't think the people of this country or our current government will stand for it. I believe the backlash will more aggressive and severe than any of them can imagine.
If we start seeing Mosque going up in flames it won't bother me at all. If there are any normal moderate Muslims out there then speak up for yourselves(and not only when pressured).
They can blame the terrorist if they get caught in the middle if they don't have the guts or sincere differences to speak against terrorist scum.
And why don't we stop all current legal immigration when it comes to Muslims? I don't care if a few moderate Muslims don't get to live free in our nation. They need to get more aggressive against the terrorist if they don't want to be seen as terrorist sympathizers(Which most are in my opinion).

Well, I agree with you on that. . .things might be going a bit better over there; as we speak. . .if more Muslims who wanted changes for freedom and so determinedly; were working for such, in their own country. . .our job might be a bit easier.
Whether our government would stand or not - or at least how long would 'we' have to stand. . .to see Justice if these kinds of barbarities begin here - as they already have apparently. . .
I don't know....think we might be hearing first. . 'we ARE a Nation of LAWS!!!' . . .and of course. . .Lib PC would be in overdrive.

There have been quite a few incidences --- attempts to blow up the subway of NY, the successful attack on the WTC on 9-11, a previous unsuccessful attack.
They have that chance now --- they should be eager to go to Iraq and fight for freedom --- if they believed in freedom --- but you don't see many if any doing that. They're over here living it up, meanwhile it's Americans going to fight their wars for them --- except that they are not on the same side.
What I would like to know is how they could have found exactly where they lived. Anyone with half a brain shouldn't give out such info on the net. I suppose he could have been tricked into giving out their address.

I have lived a good and reasonably long life, sort of hard to scare Me with any personal fear, sometimes I just pray that it comes while I can still see the sights on My rifle.

I said it before and say it again - Islam is a cult and shouldn't be accorded the same treatment as other religious beliefs. Whether its Copts, Zoroastrians, Nigerian Christians, Sudanese Christians, Israelis, Hindus, Budddhists, Sikhs, Animists, Greek Cypriots, Bahais, or former Muslims who convert to another religion, they are all targets for attack by these people.
Their mosques and madrassehes hsould be closed, and they should be given the choice of converting or leaving - before its too late for all of us and we find ourselves turned into another "Islamic Republic".

Never happen in Jersey. New Jersey hasn't ever executed anybody. Its governmnet by, for, and of the attorneys.
If these Copts had been living in Alabama, Mississippi, or some other Red States, they probably would have had guns to protect themselves. But not in a state which has lost all right to consider itself a part of America.

If you think this was not connected to this guy's religious beliefs, you need a reality check. If I remember correctly, that blind lunatic masquerading as a cleric, who is now enjying all the comforts of a Federal prison instead of dangling from a tree, and who planned the FIRST World Trade Towers attack was bunking out in a rathole in the Islamic "community" in Jersey City or somewher near there.
I agree with you about the Muslims not being allowed in here, but not about the Copts.
There are thousands and thousands of innnocent Christian Chaledeans, Copts, and other religious people who have suffered centuries of persecution under these insane monsters.

You're right. The South, uniformly Red States, is quintessentially American, unlike the caponized northeastern U.S. and Left Coast.
Perhaps the Egyptian community there was small enough that somehow his identity was leaked through word of mouth. It seems like this Christian martyr and hero and the rest of their famioly were outspoken in attempting to expose the viciouness of this evil cult in his homeland. Or their murders may have had the technological expertise to tradce them down - 21st Century technology in Neanderthal minds.
At any rate, one should even be able to post one's name on the net or in the newspapers with an opinion of this evil cult without being killed for it.
Like other posters have nmoted, in other parts of the U.S., these people would have probably have been able to have acces to firearms to protect their First Amendment rights - but not in the People's Republic of New Jersey.

They also came here to escape persecution in Egypt. We have attended their services and find them to be lovely, lovely people.
