I'd like to think that you're right, but if Osama Mama Patty Murray was re-elected by the margin she was, I'm not sure there is much hope for unseating the slightly 'better' of the two - Maria Cantwell. I know many are upset about Dino's stolen election, but 2 years from now, unless Maria Does something MORE inflammatory than the "osama built day care centers" it's hard to imagine we'll get rid of her.
The state is trendign liberal/Dem, but sometimes when the party in power egregiously overreaches..the voters rise up ..it's happened several times in NJ in the last 30 years, and the two states are similar demographically and politically..Murray is, to her supporters, somewhat :iconic"..Cantwell has big $$ and big image problems..I recall she got the nomination only because she could self finance..and her then opponent was deemed unbeatable. She relatively young..could serve 4 more terms..a lot of Wash St Dems might secretly liek to see her lose, they figure it'll open up a seat in 2012.
