Christian group gets obscene, hateful messages

The man who led 11 Christians in protesting a homosexual event in Philadelphia and is one of five criminally charged for his actions is now receiving hateful, vulgar messages via his website and voice-mail system.

Michael Marcavage, the head of Repent America, received an obscenity-laced voice-mail message on Thursday in which the caller expresses his hope that the Christian activist will serve time in prison and be raped there.

"Michael, I hope you enjoy your time in prison, you piece of s--t," the caller said. "You are a worthless piece of s--t."

As WorldNetDaily reported, on Oct. 10, a group of 11 Christians was "preaching God's Word" to a crowd of people attending the Philadelphia "OutFest" event and displaying banners with biblical messages.

After a confrontation with a group called the Pink Angels, described by protesters as "a militant mob of homosexuals," the Christians were arrested and spent a night in jail.

Eight charges were filed: criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime, reckless endangerment of another person, ethnic intimidation, riot, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct and obstructing highways.

None of the Pink Angels was cited or arrested.

After a preliminary hearing in December, Judge William Austin Meehan ordered four of the Christians to stand trial on three felony and five misdemeanor charges. If convicted, they could each get a maximum of 47 years in prison. One female teenage protester faces charges in the juvenile justice system.

The caller to Marcavage's organization was hopeful the activist would spend time behind bars.

"Go f--- yourself," the male caller said. "Enjoy your time in prison, and I hope Bubba has a good time [anally raping you.]"

Another enemy of Marcavage, who claimed to be a member of the American Civil Liberties Union, left a message on the Repent America website e-mail interface. It said:

"As a member of the American Civil Liberties Union and a Unitarian-Universalist, I am committed to your suffering the maximum penalty the law will give you. And I will take particular delight knowing your families and loved ones will suffer, too.

"You know my address and my phone if you cowardly bottom-feeders want to come out to where I live and settle this. Bring your god with you. You will need all the help you can get."

Marcavage and the other Christians, know as the "Philadelphia 5," face ethnic intimidation charges stemming from Pennsylvania's hate-crimes law.

At last month's preliminary hearing, Assistant District Attorney Charles Ehrlich characterized the protesters' reading Bible verses that condemn homosexual acts as "hateful, disgusting, despicable words," and as "fighting words."

I should hope that Repent America will provide copies of these hateful messages for public perusal.

And when they do, I'd like the e-mail with full headers, please. Nothing makes me happier than ruining a punk troll's whole week.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

Another page from the Philly Outfest/Christian protest saga.

So the Bible verses condemning homosexual acts are "fighting words", but stuff like that isn't?

Anyone surprised?

Let me/DirtyHarryY2K/ItsOurTimeNow know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

Well, I want to keep track of this legal proceedings. We have to be careful people. They want conservatives, and particularly conservative Christians to live up to their expectations.

The solution is for the good people of Pennsylvania to impeach this judge, and toss the legislators out of office. Better to shut down Philly, and bring attention to where it needs to bear, than to deliver a propaganda victory to the ahh.. "gay" supporters and their demons (a.k.a. evil angels).

That said, I won't be on the front lines. I have a nastly way of not taking my own advice, and it'd get sort of ugly if I saw a group of activists (gay or otherwise) assaulting a religious group (particularly Christians) peacefully expressing themselves within the terms of the 1st ammendment. Something might get broken.

"a militant mob of homosexuals,"

Sounds like a Monty Python piece, just to lighten things up.

On a more serious note, interesting how the Left's theme is always "it's our way or the highway!"

Matt.5.10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matt.5.11 "Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

Matt.5.12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matt.5.44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Matt.10.23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next; for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel, before the Son of man comes.

Matt.23.34 Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from town to town,

Luke.11.49 Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, `I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,'

Luke.21.12 But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name's sake.

John.5.16 And this was why the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did this on the sabbath.

John.15.20 Remember the word that I said to you, `A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.

Acts.7.52 Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered,

Acts.9.4 And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

Acts.9.5 And he said, "Who are you, Lord?" And he said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting;

Acts.22.4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women,

Acts.22.7 And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, `Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?'

Acts.22.8 And I answered, `Who are you, Lord?' And he said to me, `I am Jesus of Nazareth whom you are persecuting.'

Acts.26.11 And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme; and in raging fury against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

Acts.26.14 And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, `Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It hurts you to kick against the goads.'

Acts.26.15 And I said, `Who are you, Lord?' And the Lord said, `I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

Rom.12.14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

1Cor.4.12 and we labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure;

1Cor.15.9 For I am the least of the apostles, unfit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

2Cor.4.9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

Gal.1.13 For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it;

Gal.1.23 they only heard it said, "He who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy."

Gal.4.29 But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now.

Gal.5.11 But if I, brethren, still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.

Gal.6.12 It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that would compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.

1Tim.1.13 though I formerly blasphemed and persecuted and insulted him; but I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,

2Tim.3.12 Indeed all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

Wow. I mean, being a Christian isn't easy, is it?...It's not like Jesus didn't explain that part to us or what will come. Ouch.

Is this so? Does anyone know this hero's phone number and address? Is it true that he's issued an open invitation for a "visit"?

The Bible says that when we are persecuted for his names sake that we recieve a blessing. Right or wrong I always love the persecution because I love the Blessing. Bring it on.

I'm not surprised at all about the threats. Shall we hold our breath til our faces turn purple waiting for charges to be pressed against the harassers?

It is now open season on Christians.

The international socialists main stream media in the United States is now using the Christians in the same way that the national socialists media used the Jews in Germany during the '30s.

To wit: Blame all the Nation's problems on them.

Every story they pint or cover about Christians is done with two slants. To either ridicule or scorn upon them.

Well so far all accounts have it that the churches in Philly are silent on the issue and until the past couple of weeks there was hardly any print reporting of it. It's going to be up to us outside IMO to raise a ruckus about it.

Just checked RA site and they have this notice at the top!

WATCH "HANNITY AND COLMES" TOMORROW

Tomorrow, Michael Marcavage, director of Repent America, and his criminal defense attorney, Scott Shields of Shields and Hoppe, will appear on Hannity & Colmes to discuss the arrests of 11 Christians on October 10 at a homosexual gathering in Philadelphia, and this blatant disregard for our civil liberties.
