You got that right...I worked for WH about 20 yrs ago, & I'd never, EVER, consider them to serve what folks might consider "fine" food.
I worked in several of their stores (we had LOTS of employee turnover @ the time, & I'd help try to fill in if I was off that night from my own store), & out of the 12 or so stores I worked @, black customers were few & far between. We mostly had country bumpkins (who would come in to drink coffee & try to sober up after leaving a C & W club) & families as our customers. The # of black employees we had @ the time were even fewer, thus racial incidents rarely occurred...w/ the exception of GETTING ROBBED @ night in one of the downtown stores.
Like I said, that's how it was when I worked for them ages ago.
Woo, hoo!
Kind of like going to a McD's around here and complaining about the poor food and service. It is always a pleasant surprise when the person at the register actually speaks intelligible English.
I like going to the national chain bookstores where the kids working there have the nose rings, tounge rings, spiked hair, purple stripes in the hair, etc. I feel like I have gone to the Star Wars Cafe and the aliens have landed. They usually get flumoxed when I ask for a double shot of espresso. They look at me like I just asked for a line of coke. "Like. Wow, dude, he takes it straight!"
I am really old fashioned. I've never sued anyone.
