We had people in Iraq- and Iran- in the late 90s keeping tabs on sites and shipments within those countries, between those countries, and between other countries. It wasn't all done by satellite, either.
And Libya and Syria as well...we were keeping up with quite a little network of front companies as well as Qadeer Khan and so on.

Pretty amazing news -- which, of course, the MSM has largely ignored. This morning, Fox News reported that there are now questions being raised by the supposedly "above reproach" Paul Volker due to his close personal and business ties to the UN and Kofi Annan. The UN's "independent" investigation will be a lot like the CBS "independent" investigation into the Dan Rather mess.
