If you look at the Bible, prior to the flood, the world was filled with evil and violence. If you look at the bible, it is filled with evil and violence.

Yes. First the worlds population was destroyed and just as they were trying to regroup, they were given differenct languages and scattered about the earth.
Think about it. Terribly cruel.

I just think you're a "wild turkey". Nothing more needs to be said. I take it that that means you now realize that the bible is full of violence and cruelty.

"I take it that that means you now realize that the bible is full of violence and cruelty."Let's just say it has something to do with pearls and swine. Anyone "in the know" will know what that means.

USA Today said Rolling Stone was angry about the ad's slogan:
"Timeless Truth; Today's Language."
"And that assertion of 'truth' evidently triggered the rebuff from Rolling Stone,"
the paper said.
Well done Rolling Stone staffers...
you can kiss goodby the conservatives that buy your rag.
(I don't know the present situation, but the only reason Rolling Stone ever had
PJ O'Rourke as a conservative token was their unexpected finding
that a fair proportion of their readers/subsribers were Republicans.)

PJ O'Rourke was the only reason I have bought a copy of Rolling Stone in the last 15 years or more. Although I did think seriously about buying the one with Jennifer Aniston's nude butt on it.

I wouldn't worry too much. Rolling Stone still thinks U2 is the greatest rock and roll band in the world.yeah, they are a no-talent joke of a band.

I'm at a loss as to what was the violent part of that event. I've never heard that talking different languages was violent. Perhaps I don't have the "right take" on speaking foreign languages. It might be violent after all. Hmm. Never tried to do a transaction over the phone with someone you couldn't understand? ;)
