It doesn't matter what the religion or ethnicity, these people have always and will always kill each other, unfortunately.

Having a "religion" teach that murder is sacred and you will go to paradise/heaven/whatever if you kill the right person or yourself helps justify such acts.

Again, it doesn't matter what religion they are, in Somalia it is a cultural thing to kill your neighbors. We could eliminate race, religion and all distinctions between people, and they'd still find a reason to kill each other.
That's what I tell liberals when they opine that racial distinctions cause warfare. With conservatives, instead of race it's religion. Face it, it's the human condition. Show me a nation that was peaceful before Islam and is now violent because of it and I'll entertain your theory. These people were killing each other over Pagan Gods before monotheism.
The Serbs and Albanians were killing each other well before Islam and Christianity. I must say in partial defense of your theory that Islam fit better into the Albanians' warlike mentality. I have compared the OT with the Koran and have found similar advocacy of violence, though the OT is more time-sensitive and the Koran is not. The best hope for lessening the violence in Islamic lands is to empower the people economically and support moderate leaders. The question is, what is effective in stopping the spread of the world's largest and fast-growing religion? Trashing Allah and the Koran, and inflaming peole or showing, kindly, that Jesus is the Way? I have read alot about missionary activity and the most effective is when they help the people in Christ's name, then introduce them to Christ. If missionaries went around smashing their alters and demonizing them, it wouldn't bring people to Christ.
