(Hartford-WTNH, Jan. 18, 2005 6:12 PM) Some streets in the vicinity of city hall are closed because of a gas odor.
According to police the odor is coming from behind city hall.
Right now Prospect Street between Sheldon Street and Atheneum Square is closed to traffic.

I once knew someone who was in a building when it exploded due to a major gas leak in the basement. The explosion lifted up the whole building and shins snapped in two under the force.
