My wife and I are driving down to DC from Connecticut this afternoon. If we have time, we'll go to dinner at the Washington Plaza. Tomorrow we'll take MARTA from our hotel in College Park into town and walk to the 600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. to watch the parade with other Freepers, and then attend the Freepers Ball in the evening.

The whole trip has been a close call because two of my kids came down with the flu late last week, but are feeling much better today.

You might want to add some additional time onto your plan for the drive down here to DC.

The forecast for tdoay was for "flurries". The "flurries" started at about 10:30 this morning and are still flurrying now (1:30 p.m.). If you have never experienced the joy of driving in or around DC when it snows, you need to know that there ar elots and lots and lots of people here in Metro DC who freak out when they see any snow at all.

Tomorrow's forecast is for more flurries. May be an inch or two, which could cause traffic jams into DC.
