If this thing is for real, and they have hard intel that the group is planing such an act, (IMHO) then the schedule would or should perhaps be something like this tonight
(just theorizing here):
7:00 p.m. (EST)-- Local Boston Officials Make A Statement
8:00 p.m.(EST)-- Dept. of Homeland Security Announcement of Threat Level Upgrade (effection Boston, Eastern Seaboard, etc.)
At least, if that is what is happening, I am sure they will announce that later today.

That is a likely timeline, given how all this stuff is breaking out this afternoon.
Only question is if the Threat Level is raised, will Inauguration plans be altered or changed tomorrow?
Is there any more news on how serious this threat is?
The mayor of Boston was just on the radio making a statement meant to be calming. He did say, though, that the report is of a threat to Boston or New York. The MA governor is on his way back to MA from DC. He did say he'd been having meetings with his security all day. He was notified about 8:00 a.m. (Howie Carr noted the possibility that this info wasn't supposed to go public but somehow did.)
