Put some oil on that rusty hinge. This guy's writing is the literal translation of Helen Thomas's face.
The American people don't buy the "Bush lied" crap. Deal.

No matter his electoral victory, Bush will never be absolved of sending young people to kill and be killed in a war without moral justification. This from an unrepentent communist who probably still cries himself to sleep at night that the Soviet Union is no more.

First came the report, confirmed by the White House, that the fruitless search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq had officially but secretly ended shortly before Christmas without, of course, any sign of the much discussed weapons that were such a critical justification for the war in the first place.Typeical tactic by the press. First part of this report, "search has ended" is TRUE.
Second part, "without any signs of such weapons" is where the PRESS is given the freedom to LIE.
Don't worry folks. All these idiots are just being given time to SHOVE THEIR FOOTS AS FAR DOWN THEIR THROATS AS THEY CAN.

This from an unrepentent communist who probably still cries himself to sleep at night that the Soviet Union is no more. Scheer has one saving grace IMHO no matter what drivel he spouts. Long ago he did an anti-gun essay in Playboy, citing that discredited AMA study of how dangerous guns are in the home. The next issue he did another essay admitting he was wrong, retracting everything he'd said, basically coming out pro-gun in the end. I appreciate a journalist with the balls to issue a retraction, not one column-inch buried in page 87, but full-size in the same place as the original article.

Despite what Bush may think, elections grant leaders temporary power, but it is history that determines the rightness and wrongness of their actions. Whatever may happen over the next four years, along with Bush's first term accomplishments, will be written about in different ways by historians; some truthful, some vengeful, some absolutely insane.
Whatever Robert Scheer does during his entire pathetic life will, fortunately, be absent completely from future history. He is just upset at his own insignificance.
