While the lady dancing with the President is a soldier, the gentleman dancing with The First Lady, is no soldier, he's a US Marine!
Wonder why they aren't in their full dress uniforms for such a formal occasion, although such junior enlisted types sometimes don't *have* such a uniform, because they are very expensive. (The Marine would most likely have Dress Blues, but the Army lady would be less likely to have them).
I was typing "military personnel" to avoid that correction, which I knew was certainly going to come, and deleted it for "soldier." My apologies to the entire Marine Corps.
