I understand this, but Obama won 70% of the vote, and Kerry won over 55%. There is no way they actually needed any of those votes. It's just not possible.

before electronic voting in florida, the dems had been able to almost make up a 6% deficit.
In 2000 (with fraud) the democrats lost 50.1% to 49.9%.
In 2004 (without voter fraud) the democrats lost (i believe) 53% to 47%.
the reason for this is that they can not comit voter fraud with electronic voting. If Bush lost Ill. 55% to 45% it is very likely that he really lost by 1% point or even won outright.
