It happens locally (NH) quite often--always during significant presidential events. It happened (twice!) during the president's last press conference. It happened during the past three State of the Union addresses. I have complained to the local authority (NWS in Gray, ME) who also claim they are scheduled at random times and dates, to the FCC and to my local congress persons. Nothing has ever been done about this situation. Clearly some Dem getting his jollies at Mr. Bush's expense.

That's amazing. Our EAS tests are all around 2 am or some such time. I rarely see or hear one.
