Hi Doug!
I didn't know you were so talented!!! Books, songs, crosswords, poet, traveler, etc. Thank you for the post, it made for a great read. Sorry to have missed the broadcast we were doing our own celebrating here in the great Northwoods.
Now that I think about it, here I sent you meat in that Christmas package. Now I really feel like dumba$$. Oh well, It was the thought anyways 8-)

"Hockey is not my favorite sport."LOL - yeah, both games being played in the frozen north.
Here's the schedule (only 1 RED STATE team playing - I'm supporting Atlanta to win and then to win the Superbowl - yea red states)
Conference Championships
Sunday, Jan. 23
Atlanta at Philadelphia, 3:00 p.m. on FOX
New England at Pittsburgh, 6:30 p.m. on CBS

I try to stay out of Austin - way to liberal for me, LOL. At least, in Texas, you can travel hundreds and hundreds of miles before hitting one of those liberal potholes. Hope you can visit again soon - try to get up to the DFW area and I'll buy you a beer.

Do we ever think alike. I am also rooting for the one red state -- the Falcons. Before them it was the Rams. Too bad about the Chargers. San Diego is a great red Navy town in a blue state.

the ball was GRAND!
ELS & i had a GREAT TIME, as did everyone but the cocktail waitresses & the bartenders. they just wanted us to LEAVE, so that they could go home.
i left the building about 3AM!
