Sounds like a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time :(
Texas actually has some of the best laws for carrying guns in the country. However, in this case, I doubt having a gun would have helped this poor girl. In order to successfully use a gun, you first have to be aware of what's going on around you. Next you need to have it at the ready. In the video, it seemed to me she was fumbling for her keys--I don't think she could have gotten to a gun and used it before he was on her.
Perhaps not. But it is a good start.
By the way, why shouldn't a 19 year old girl learn how to use a gun?
I don't know, I don't want to live in a country where everyone is carrying guns.
>>I don't know, I don't want to live in a country where everyone is carrying guns. <<
Me neither!
You just made my point.
Then who should carry a gun?
I don't have an answer to that but certainly not everyone should be packing heat.
That's just what I thought.
If not, we could get Ted Kennedy to water-board him.
Why do you find it necessary to be so rude because someone responds that they don't have an answer to something. I'm not obligated to answer any of your posts but when I did, you become condescending.
If I don't have an answer to something, I'm not going to make something up.
Are you a gun fanatic or something?
At least there was a happy ending.
I'm not rude, just honest.
I consider it rude.
Then you very thin skinned. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
By the way, I have tried not to be rude. If you want rude I will give it to you.
That's just stupid. I don't to live in the wild west. I don't want to carry a gun. What's so hard to understand?
I am sure you will.
Anyone .. is there an ignore button for certain posters who want to be excessively aggressive and think everyone has to share their beliefs?

Williams' Military History
By Constance Jones

An official from Camp Pedleton in California says that Johnny Lee Williams is still classified as a Marine. He was given a dishonorable discharge for marijuana use and was demoted from Lance Corporal to Private in February 2004.
He's appealing that decision.
Williams served with the Marines for just over two years before the drug charge was filed.
In May 2003, williams was stationed in iraq-- for at least six months, during the first wave of attacks in operation iraqi freedom.
While in Iraq-- he served as a logistics clerk- which means he tracked the movement of tanks and equipment.
Williams was awarded several medals for his service but none of the awards indicate that he served on the battlefield or witnessed any warfare.
Then don't. That's your choice. Is that hard to understand?
