Sad.. One of the true greats of television. Johnny Carson made me laugh for 30 years, I missed him after he retired, there's been nothing like him since. He knew how to make a joke about anything and yet never offend, and without the use of a lot of foul language or sexual explicitness, he just knew where to draw the line. Rest in peace Mr. Carson you did good, real good. You will always be truly missed.

Damn, seems so many of the good ones from my era are gone now.

It's been like a walk down memory lane for me. We missed him for years before he was gone.

Watching all these old Carson moments really makes what David Letterman said stand out.."all the rest of us are pretenders".
