March for Life Brings Pro-Life Demonstrators to Washington

(CNSNews.com) - The 32nd annual March for Life begins at noon on Monday, and organizers expect thousands of pro-life Americans to brave the bitter cold.

"The March for Life is a peaceful demonstration -- an annual reminder to all of Washington officialdom that it must overturn the Supreme Court's infamous Roe v. Wade decision which decriminalized the intentional killing of a preborn human," said Nellie Gray, president of the March for Life Fund.

"The Supreme Court cannot, and did not, legalize the killing of preborns," Gray said in a statement that is very similar to the one she issued at this time last year.

"But Roe v. Wade did unleash on our beloved country the feminists/abortionists' evil agenda of 'choice' to kill preborn humans, and did begin the slippery slope to decriminalize infanticide, euthanasia, assisted suicide, fetal research, and more evil."

Several Members of Congress will address the crowd at a rally on the Ellipse before the march to the Supreme Court.

According to Gray, abortion kills an estimated 4,000 preborn humans each day.

I was there with my family, wife and triplet children. We drove from Atlanta, GA and met my in-laws, who drove down from CT. It was my first march. (my in-laws fifth or sixth) I am not a Roman Catholic and felt that there needed to be a stronger presence from other religious denominations. I about lost it when I read a sign that told my "I would burn in hell" since I wasn't a RC.

Funny how people of like minds can ostricize each other for furhtering their own agneda. Here I thought I was going to support the Pro-Life movement and found myself under attack even though I was a supporter.

Had a good time anyway. Next year it would be nice to see other support from others besides the RC's.
