Makes you wonder if Byrd took Boxer to an after-hours meeting at a "gentlemans" club he's been a secret member of since the 40s....

and where the Republican Party is far too inept to oust her from office.

Wishful thinking, didn't the inept Repubs kick Davis out of office.

No Boxer is the perfect face for the dems. I say keep her around, front row and center!

Barbara "Check Bouncer" Boxer once again has insufficient resources to cover an overdraft, this time of the mind.

Just in case, Ms Boxer was one of the members of Congress who abused the House bank the most. Hey! Who needs to balance a checkbook when the taxpayers cover unlimited overdrafts? What a deal!

"With an air of resignation, Sen. Barbara Boxer ...."

I've longed for years to see the word "resignation" in the same sentence with "Sen. Barbara Boxer." Unfortunately, this instance does not satisfy the desire.

You have to wonder why Boxer even went through the motions with this one.

A Black Marine Gunnery Sargent I spoke with said that Boxer's treatment of Rice rang in his ears like, "How dare you turn on the Democratic Party you uppity C*** B****!"

Barbara Boxer is an insufferable witch.

Liberating Iraq was the right thing to do and the world is a better place for Saddam being gone.

That being said, I cannot say that members of the Bush administration were completely upfront with the American people regarding the threat posed by Saddam preceding the war. I think they did see the need to sell this war to the American public and overstated the threat. There is a fine line sometimes between deceiving people and not being upfront. I don't know where on that line they fell - either way it does leave a bad taste in my mouth because I don't fully trust them now.

Boxer's "grilling" of Rice was entirely appropriate and deserves widespread publicity in the MSM. I hope she keeps up the tough questioning, especially when minority candidates are before her committee.

(I hope she continues to show the American people the "moonbat wing" of the Dim party is still in charge of that asylum.)

Her harangue would be little more than an exercise in self-serving futility, one that would ultimately prove embarrassing - not for Rice, but for Boxer, her party and the state she represents.

Mr. Weinkopf misunderstands Boxer's purpose. She wasn't trying to block Rice's confirmation, she was trying, by making a well-orchestrated gesture at the behest of her superiors, to keep the Democratic Party's far left wing from bailing out en masse and joining the Green Party in disappointment over Kerry's refusal to contest the election.

Now that's going to leave a mark!

Did a Freeper write this? Chris, what's your pseudonym?

I agree with the other Freeper(s) on this tread, who noted the comment about Republican ineptness at not being able to remove Boxer.

While I disagree with nearly all Democrat Senators, I don't know of any that are less intelligent than Boxer. Putting politics aside, she doesn't even seem capable of putting forth a reasoned arguement to support whatever it is she's trying to prove.

When you go up against someone like Condi Rice, you better damn well know your stuff. If you don't, the contrast is going to be overwhelming. Senator Boxer simply contributed to the further deminishment of her own credibility.

Amy Poehler did a devastating impression of Barbara Boxer lambasting Rice at the hearings on the last Saturday Night Live. Boxer must still be reeling.

it would be hard to dismiss Boxer as the party's black sheep when the very man the party tried to put in the White House just two months earlier was there bah-ing beside her.

Barbie better keep away from gasoline and boxes of matches because she is putting herself on a path to self-immolation.
