Muslims upset about Fox's 24
Edmonton Sun ^

It's no secret where I'm going to be every Monday night for the next six months - in front of the TV watching 24, Fox's gripping, edge-of-your seat, real-time series.

For three seasons, I've been an avid viewer and I'm hooked once again after watching 24's exciting fourth-season opener last weekend.

As usual, rogue protagonist Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland, is breaking the rules to track down terrorists.

But the terrorists aren't eastern Europeans or traitorous government officials this time. The evil-doers are a Muslim couple apparently involved in a mysterious train derailment and the kidnapping of the U.S. Defence secretary...

There is no device in the universe which can measure the microscopic amount I care about anything a mudslime thinks. Way too many zeros to the right of the decimal point.

There is no device in the universe which can measure the vast hatred of anything mudslime. Way too many zeros to the left of the decimal

I hope you'll say the same thing when the ultimate villain turns out to be a bunch of white Halliburton executives. You know that's where the story is heading, right?

Who else noticed their decent into political correctness last night, as Jack's babe ID'd the evil, mysterious American collaborator as someone she'd met at a "Heritage Foundation" dinner?

I just happened to see a part of last nights episode - Purely by chance. I was flipping through the Channels but, since I virtually never watch any of the main broadcast channels, was really on my way to Fox Cable Channel, Fox News.

However, something caught my eye in the channel flipping, something that looked GOOD. It was what appeared to be a Special Ops guy blowing the Hell out of numerous Militant Islamic Terrorists. I stopped - Watched - and liked very much what I was seeing. The show, Fox's 24. Not bad!

I find it interesting that 24 contrasts the father on one side who has his own son killed for the "cause" and the other father who has his son tortured for his country.
So far, the "bad-guys" are shown to be middle-eastern and they talk about their "cause" but I have not yet seen any reference to religion in what they do. I would not be surprised if we find out later that there "cause" has nothing to do with Islam.

Yup, I saw it. I have a feeling conservatives will somehow be shown in a bad light. Bush's fault again!

And also nukes will be bad!

FGS, white men have been the villians for YEARS; who'd be surprised at that?

Heck, who'd complain?

"...Organization spokesman Rabiah Ahmed told the New York Daily News recently that the show "casts a cloud of suspicion over every American-Muslim family out there."

Help me. Is there something I don't get here? I don't see the problem.

Truth should never offend anyone!

If your a Muslim living in America enjoying the freedom's granted you in America and your offended, then please feel free to exercise one of our greatest freedom's... The freedom to LEAVE.

No offense.

I suggest the reason Muslims are so sensitive about any criticism is that, deep down, they know:

(1) The criticisms of Islam are true, and...

(2) Islam is a lie.
