One thing I don't quite understand...doesn't Colombia have its hands full with FARC? Why would they take this kind of 'bait' from Chavez? I haven't kept as a close a watch on the goings-on down there as I normally have, but it does sound like Hugo is going off his rocker.
chavez is afraid of Condi. She's no Powell. His playing footsy with the chicoms, al queda, and russia in our back yard sealed his fate.
There have been some articles posted recently which suggest a FARC - Venezuela connection.
It's quite possible that Chavez has been assisting the rebels, and knows that soon he will answer for his treachery.
