No you won't see this issue brought up. Hate crime only happens if there is a minority victim. Please correct me if I am wrong but I have never seen the issue raised if the victim is white. There was a recent incident in Tacoma which was a very obvious "should have been" a hate crime. However the victim was white. No hate crime. The local paper wouldn't even print my letter in reference to it. Matter of fact there was nothing in the paper that has ever referenced a hate crime.
