William F. Buckley-the man who made me a conservative. In the early 60's I was in the Rock recording business and one morning I was recovering from a particularly rough night on the town. I happened into a Times Square Horn and Hardarts automat (anybody remember those?). On the table where I was eating was a copy of National Review which I started reading-and the rest is history.
