What a shit..looking over your shoulder..life to lead.
Who would want it?
Not me.
No amount of money pays for peace of mind, and conscience free sleep.

A bank robber has been allowed to claim the £1,400 cost of the gun he used as a legitimate business expense. 1. You gotta be kidding me?
2. About $2800 American for a gun? (Assuming it's 1400 pounds) And used in a crime????
If I was going to spend that much, I'd save a little more and get the Barrett .50 BMG.

Exactly. Plus, using inferior tools show a lack of respect for the craft ;)

isn't £1,400 rather pricey for a bank-robber's pistol? Beat me to it.
The best pistol IMO I've ever shot I was told runs about $750(400 pounds). It was a Dan Wesson 1911 - and I nearly bullseyed everything the first time I shot it.
Too bad I can't afford it, but that's another story.

If you live in a country (state) where guns are illegal, you have to pay through the nose to criminal sources and smugglers.

This HK is for sale in the U.S. It costs $1,649.99, before shipping. I went shopping for high end 1911s (Kimbers) and they had prices in the same range.
It really depends on the gun you're looking for. But I'm sure the black market factor is part of it.

Yea, but shouldn't the robber amortize the cost of the gun over its useful life? He shouldn't be able to expense it the first year when he could still be robbing with it decades from now.

Actualy a simular case was made public over 10 years ago, when it became evident that drug-dealers deducted the costs of owning an illegal gun from their taxes. Guess we will never learn over here.
