Becoming a member at 55, I dropped them like a hot potato when I found out their stance on "W". Now that I AM retired , I use the AAA discounts instead .

It was obvious during the Clinton years that AARP leaned VERY far to the left. I never joined and never will. There are plenty of senior citizen discounts elsewhere.
