My neighbors who are snow birds were just telling me about some small town in Mexico just across the AZ border that everyone goes to for cheap dental work. They said the work is excellent, but I don't think it would be worth it.

Agreed. If it was so hot, they wouldn't be coming over here... Although in their own country they would be expected to PAY something!

I just had someone tell me yesterday that they are going for dental work in Mexico next week. A very nice man & his wife . This was the first I ever heard of this. Apparently dental work that costs $6000 could be done for $1000 there. This travel warning does not bode well for their visit.

That town is Algodones, across from Yuma, AZ. You can get cheap pharmaceuticals there and dental work. You aren't really a thousand yards inside Mexico. It's a little bitty place.

Back in the wild seventies, a lot of us spent our Friday nights in the wild nightclubs in San Luis, 23 miles south of Yuma. We crawled home at dawn many times drunk and smelling like cheap perfume. Was almost a rite of manhood at my high school.

I don't know how anyone in their right mind would go down there now.
