I'm in the middle of a midlife crisis, and I'm considering a tattoo. Something tasteful, like a 4 inch family crest on my calf.

I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo when I turn 30 next year, but I'm not sure what it would be.

"I'm stupid" would be truth in advertising. Be creative; have it done in Chinese.

I love tattoos. I don't have any (I change my mind in the middle of making lunch, fercryinoutloud!)

But I have seen some gorgeous tats on people. I guess it depends on your POV. Granted, those with said beautiful tats were in jobs/vocations where they were either covered or totally appropriate.

Something all wimmins need to check out before they get those things in the small of the back...I'm under the impression that an anesthesiologist will not make an injection through a tattoo (latent infection and unknown ink substance).

Forewarned if a tattooed princess ever needs an epidural.

I'm heavily tattooed and work in the tattoo industry. Allow me to give you some advice before you get tattooed, it's a very serious undertaking that can be safe and enjoyable, but you have to consider the most basic sanitary and quality issues. I can give you a few pointers to look out for.

FR mail me if you want to talk tattoos!

Not all tattooed people are criminal gangster lowlife biker scumbags!!!

I got my tattoo when I was 30. It's a Confederate Rose, and it's on my shoulder. The only time anyone can see it is when I'm in a bathing suit or wearing a tank top...neither of which I wear to work.

I went through what I call a pre mid-life crises last year. I wound up with a small butterfly on my right shoulder. My son made me a butterfly wind chime for mother's day so I used it for inspiration. I'm going to have an even smaller ladybug on the top of my right foot for my daughter. She's always been my little ladybug! Then I'll quit. Unless we have more kids. :-) I love them! (kids and tats)
