That is the whole point. Make it intolerably expensive to keep Kim. If the price is tolerable, China would continue to do so.

- China being China, my bet is that they will back a palace coup sometime soon and replace Kim Jong Il with a Beijing puppet. The only condition that Beijing will place on the puppet for their support is that he drops the weapons program.
