The People Have Won. (Report: Voting boxes full by 11AM)
Iraq the Model ^ | 1/30/05 | Iraqi voter 'Omar'

Posted on 01/30/2005 10:30:31 AM PST by gopwinsin04

We would love to share with the whole world what we did this morning, we cant describe the feelings we've been through but we'll try to share as much as we can.

We woke up this moring one hour before the alarm clock was supposed to ring. As a matter of fact, we barely slept at all last night out of excitement and anxiety.

We had all kinds of feelings in our minds while we were on the way to the ballot box except one feeling that never came to us, that was the feeling of fear.

We could smell pride in the atmosphere this morning, everyone we saw was holding up his blue tipped finger with broad smiles on their faces after walking out of the voting center.

I couldn't think of a scene more beautiful than that. From the early hours of the morning, people filled the street to the voting center in my neighborhood, youths, elders, women and men.

Women's turnout was very high. By 11 AM the boxes where I live were almost full! Anyone watching that scene cannot but have tears of happiness, hope pride and triumph.

How can I describe it? Take my eyes and look through them my friends, you have supported the day of Iraq's freedom and today Iraqis have proven that they will not disappoint their country or their friends.

Could any model match this one? Could any bravery match the Iraqis? Let the remaining tyrants of the world learn the lesson of this day.

I walked forward to my station, cast my vote and headed to the box, where I wanted to stand as long as I could, then I moved to dip my finger with ink as if I was poking out the eyes of all the world's tyrants

I put the paper in the box and with it, there were tears I couldn't hold, I was trembling with joy and I felt like I wanted to hug the supervisor.

It was hard for us to leave the center but we were happy because we were sure that we will stand here in front of the box again and again. Today, there's no louder voice than freedom. No more confusion about what the people want, they have said their word and they said it loud and clear, the world has got to respect and support the people's will.

Brothers, proceed and fill the box! These are the stories that will be written on the brightest pages of history. God bless your brave stepsons of Iraq and God bless the defenders of freedom.

Today I am more proud than ever to be an American. The naysayers said it couldn't be done. Freedom triumphs once again. It may not be perfect, but it's a great beginning.

It was amazing this morning to watch the scenes of Iraquis lined up to vote and then to switch channels and see Kerry and Ted Kennedy gassing on as if none of this was taking place.
It was so clear that the Iraquis "get it" in a way that Kerry and Kennedy so obviously don't.
There had been so much speculation that the Iraquis would fail to vote. Well, they voted, in huge numbers. What a great moment in history.

We stand with the Iraqi people who risked their lives to vote. Freedom does not always come without a price but it surely comes on the shoulders of those who defend and cherish it. These American shoulders are honored to help support the Iraqi citizens who fought back against tyranny and terrorism with a ballot this day.

Such pictures kept me teary-eyed with a lump in my throat all morning. The image that really got to me was on Fox News, with a nearly toothless old woman putting her ballot in the box, grinning from ear to ear, and holding up her blue finger. It was amazing to witness, even if just via the telly.

What if they elected Kerry?

Don't you fret. We at Haliburton have rigged the Diebold voting machines to give Ohio to the acting president of Iraq.

The Bloggers in Iraq are as clued in as the guys who run Powerline. Read on....

FROM http://hammorabi.blogspot.com/
It is the birth of freedom and democracy in Iraq!

It is a great festival!

Today only we may announce the victory!

Today we hit back in the heart of the terrorists and the tyrants!

Today is the day in which the souls of our martyrs comforted!

Today those who were killed in Iraq or wounded among our friends from the USA and other allies, who helped us to reach this day, are with us again to inscribe their names with Gold for ever!

Today we challenged the killers and terrorists and foot on them with our shoes!

Many people walked long distances to vote in a most civilised way!

People asked for more time to enable them to vote!

One woman was crying because she can not reach the requested polling station to vote!

In many parts the police helped citizens to take them with their cars to the polling stations!

As we expected the enemies of God and freedom send their mentally retarded cockroaches in some suicidal attacks.

On the top of our privileged today are those who were killed in their way for voting. Their names should be perpetuated for ever! Their names should be written in Gold in Al-Fordos Square in Baghdad!

Our thanks go to George W Bush who will enter the history as the leader of the freedom and democracy in the recent history! He and his people are our friends for ever!

At this moment the voting closed and we will see the results then!

God bless Iraq and America.

The New Democratic Iraq Born!

No more 99.99 % in Iraq!
This is the figure of the Arabs' dictators except Saddam!
He used to get 100%!

Surprisingly those who voted for the master of the mass graves are abstaining now!

Our voting is:
No to the terrorists!
No to the dictatorships!
No to hate and racism!
No to the fascists!
No to the Nazis!
No to the mentally retarded tyrants!
No to the ossified, narrow-minded and intolerants!

The Iraqis are voting in few hours time for the new Iraq.

We are going to create our future by ourselves not by dictators.

We are going to say:
Yes for the freedom and democracy!
Yes for the civilized Iraq!
Yes for peace and prosperity!
Yes for coexistence!
Yes for the New Iraq!

Let them bomb and kill us. It will not deter us!
Let them send their dogs to suck our bones. We care not!
Let them bark. It will not frighten us.
Let them see how civilised to be free and democratic!
Let them die by our vote tomorrow! It is the magic bullet which will kill them!

Welcome New Iraq.
Welcome freedom and democracy.
Welcome peace and prosperity for all nations with out exception but terrorists!
