WASHINGTON STATE REP. JIM MCDERMOTT:

..."I don't think this election is going to resolve anything... It's a meaningless exercise, set up by the U.S. government..."

Who cares what that steamy pile thinks?! LOL. Today is a great day! One of many.

Those are rubber fingers - to help her sort the papers - it's not the purple stain they are using for voters.

I like the picture too - but there was one yesterday of a 70 yr old man with his completed ballot in his hand who broke into tears as he was placing his ballot in the box. I just lost it when I saw the picture.

Are you serious - or are you illustrating absurdity by being absurd.

Look at their sweet little faces .. I don't see any fear or any hate on the faces of these children. All I see is awe - while they are looking at one of our soldiers.

Thanks for this awesome thread.

What a huge day for the world.

America would do well to come up with something like the blue ink trick to help check vote fraud. I wonder if it is deemed unuseable here due to our ready access to ink remover.

I originally thought some one was pulling our leg on the live Iraq election thread so I went over to the Sunday Morning Talk Show thread Here:

IIRC it starts at about post 240....Russert let him have it with both barrels. Wish I'd seen it!

Representative Jim McDermott (Baathist-Seattle) "George Bush is the real danger to the world."

Senator Ted Kennedy (Al Qaeda - Mass.) "The U.S. military is part of the problem not part of the solution."

So who are the real fascists in America?

My vote for photo of the year!

I was thinking the same thing. It is on par with the National Geographic picture of the green-eyed Afgan girl taken so many years ago.
