The genes a man gets from his mother and father may play an important role in determining whether he is gay or not, according to a new study likely to reignite the “gay gene” debate.
Researchers say it’s the first time the entire human genetic makeup (search) has been scanned in search of possible genetic determinants of male sexual orientation. The results suggest that several genetic regions may influence homosexuality.
“It builds on previous studies that have consistently found evidence of genetic influence on sexual orientation, but our study is the first to look at exactly where those genes are located,” says researcher Brian Mustanski, PhD, a psychologist at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Those previous studies looked only at the genes located on the X chromosome (search). Genes on this chromosome are only passed to a son from his mother. But this study examined genetic information on all chromosomes, including genes from the father.

Does the possibility of "faulty" genetic makeup excuse your immorality?

So where is the study for the genetic causes of beastiality, polygamy, pedophilia, etc?
They wont do those because they aren't *yet* trying to make these forms of sexual perversion socially acceptable.
The genetic influences on a person do not *determine* their behavior.
Simply because someone may have a genetic predisposition for alchoholism it does not make them an alchoholic, nor does it *cause* them to become alchoholic.
Homosexuality is a perversion that may have some factors that make some people predisposed to such behavior, but I would think that evolution would purge such genes over time.
With the freedom to genetically refine off-spring, and to even detect and abort unborn children with 'gay-genes' this is not a direction that the Lavender Mafia should be going.

Nope, just beginning. Is it justified to abort a child if it is scientifically proven beyond a doubt they will be a "dead end" no reproducing, disease spreading entity who will never stand a chance being properly oriented to society?
It will have to be debated, because every Gay activist will be compelled to become "pro life" if they will to have a ready pool of recruits available.
