Salem TWP. Mega-conservative. 83% republican. Lots of guns, big yards, money, no Kerry signs during the election. Horses in your back yard. Kind of a transition area. A few miles south, the bastion of MI liberalism exists in a place called Ann Arbor.   And AA is enough to swing Washtenaw County and the state with it.
