Not only is it a sword & a hilt, there seems to be a seal or symbol at the cross. Awesome photo. Is there a patron saint of Madrid?

(if I were a tin-foiler, & I ain't, but if I were, I'd say SOMEONE was trying to send a message.)

Dunno about patron saints for Madrid, but the Patron Saint of Spain is Santiago, aka "Santiago Matamoros"--St James the Moor Slayer.

Pretty straightforward to me.

Spain, the only nation to withdraw their troops from Iraq, has a sword appear over its sky the night of the Iraqi election.

G-d is truly majestic.
