Until I read this, and his description of newspeople who looked like they swallowed a cockroach, I had not realized that the entire crew of ABC,CBS, NBC, and CNN were Arabs. In fact, some of them look like they ARE the cockroach.

I hope the sorry idiots at sorryeverybody.com see this and, more importantly, understand it.
Frankly I was not surprised. Not a bit. I've been telling my liberal friends for months that, at the big picture level, things were going well in Iraq, that this would work. I shrugged of the derisive laughs and catcalls because I knew this would happen. It always does and always has, whenever -- and this is crucial -- a liberation is associated with an effective and determined effort to ensure that ruthless thugs will not thwart the will of the people to grasp their freedom. And I knew Dubya would follow through with that determination.
"I just want to convey to you some of the tremendous feelings overwhelming my soul now."
Thanks, nuconvert! The message was conveyed well, as usual.
Saturday night as the polls opened and the voters began to trickle in, it occurred to me how much trust President Bush had invested in the Iraqi people's desire for freedom over their fear of seizing it. They have justified his trust.
Hopefully, our military is feeling the jubilation of the Iraqi citizens that the blogger has expressed.

Our President at the WTC said 'We hear you and soon the whole world will hear you'!!
That's what I was thinking too. "I can hear YOU. The whole world hears you. And the people that did this will hear from all of us soon."
Those off-the cuff words were taken by many as a reflex response by a "cowboy". (And perhaps they were). But we soon found out that it meant more than just "getting a camel in the butt" with a cruise missle. We soon saw that it was a full scale war with the Taliban. Turned in to a full-scale and quick Victory. With free elections in Afghanistan last fall.
Now we see that those words "and they will hear from all of us soon" meant even more - good riddance to Saddam and his sons, terrorists on the run, and free elections in Iraq. And to bring up that old 1960's chant:
"The whole World is watching" (and listening).
God bless the Iraqi's.
Did you notice that NOWHERE in the essay did the author refer to Sunni, Shia, Kurds, or "tribes".....he only used the words Iraqi, Arab, and northern and southern regions..
God bless you for that prayer Bruce, I have not one single doubt that He shall help and bless them. They too are His children. As we pray sincerely for others, and as we try to do what is in our power to help them...He blesses our lives as well, in ways we can hardly comprehend. It's the law of the harvest...you reap what you sow.
Thank you as well for those kind words about me...they are far, far too kind. Understand that the feeling is mutual. We look forward to the day you get out west...even for a visit.
You are very welcome.

As for some of the Arab scum and other detractors, they are appearing on TV screens looking like they have just swallowed a cockroach, or perhaps had some awful lizard creeping up their backsides; They fidget, they try hard to find some words, some way to get round this, to belittle, twist to distort facts; but it is not easy, not easy when the entire world, the entire humanity are watching intently this incredible event.
Finally, we heard the speech of President Bush Loud and clear. He, and the American people and their British and other valiant allies have much to do with this event. All I can say is that this man has all the essential traits of character that distinguishes the great men of history; the insistence and utter conviction and the perseverance and steadfastness in the face of all doubters and detractors. This was no ordinary election, and it was not simply to elect a constituent assembly. It was the answer of the people, what they really thought about the liberation, what they really thought of the ideas preached by the president. This was a message by the Iraqi people to the American people and their great president. It was the heart of Iraq answering the heart of America that voted to give the President the mandate to finish the task; it was the answer that the common people of Iraq gave by braving danger and exposing their life and that of their children and families to death, this was their way to make their voice heard.
Well, thank you Mr. President, we heard you; and I am sure you also heard us.
Thanks for the ping.
