i wish i had saved the story from the new york times from about 5-7 years ago:
an urban immigrant to colorado bought a house in the sugarloaf area west of boulder, co.
she was angry that deer were eating her non-native bushes in her yard, when a mountain lion jumped from a tree, the woman's tree in her yard, and took down one of the deer in front of her!
she was insulted! how dare that mountain lion....
unbelievable.

Good picture. But a lynx is just a house cat compared to a mountain lion (or even a bobcat). They lack the vicious streak, for some reason, and you can apparently make good pets out of them. Google "Julie's Jungle" for more info.
