Is it possible that Jordan's admitted kowtowing to the Baathists in Iraq continues? Hmm...

He even "offered the story of an Al-Jazeera journalist who had been 'tortured for weeks' at Abu Ghraib, made to eat his shoes, and called "Al Jazeera boy" by his American captors."

Can't say I'm surprised that an Al_Jazeera 'journalist' was helping the terrorists.

If this were true, I don't think Eason Jordan would be around to make these claims.

Yes, this is the same Eason Jordan who wrote in the New York Times that CNN reporters in Baghdad witnessed abuses

Why is this man still employed?

Y'know, if we right-wingers really were half as nasty as he claims we are, he would long ago have taken up a new career, pushing up daises in some unmarked shallow grave. The fact that he hasn't does seem to kind of put the lie to his claims.

It is true. I heard this on a popular Houston radio program this morning. The story can be easily verified, but the MSM doesn't want to let it see the light of day. Here we go again. Just like the MSM press NEVER demanded John Kerry sign a 1080 release for his military records, while the MSM continued to give W's guard service a rectal exam, here we go again. There a dozens of examples of lefties in high places losing it and making absurd claims.

This one, however, has got to see the light of day. Eason has gone too far and CNN is long overdue a good meltdown. I encourage all FReepers to call, email and help spread the word about this horrible dishonor to our brave military.

TKS' Jim Geraghty is now reporting the Washington Post is on the story (maybe). If so, they won't be able to suppress the tape or transcript. It's going to come out.

More info on Powerline (click here).   They also had:

UPDATE: CNN has sent out an email to several bloggers, including us, that says:

Many blogs have taken Mr. Jordan’s remarks out of context. Eason Jordan does not believe the U.S. military is trying to kill journalists. Mr. Jordan simply pointed out the facts: While the majority of journalists killed in Iraq have been slain at the hands of insurgents, the Pentagon has also noted that the U.S. military on occasion has killed people who turned out to be journalists. The Pentagon has apologized for those actions.

Mr. Jordan was responding to an assertion by Cong. Frank that all 63 journalist victims had been the result of "collateral damage."

Made to eat his SHOES? (How exactly is that done?) And then, just to be really, really mean, called him "Al Jazeera boy"? This story is so absurd that it boggles my mind that anyone could take it seriously. This is a parody, right?

I'm no Barney fan but if he stood up for our troops against the lies of this CNN bigwig i'll write and thank him.

Jordan needs to be "Rosenberged".
He is a known traitor, and if the government won't take him down, the stockholders who own his company should.

Eason Jordan needs to go. Remember when the Polish journalist was assassinated by Micheal Moore's "minutemen" last year? Or when those two poor poor French journalists were taken hostage by those wonderful would be "martyrs".

Considering CNN's conspiracy with Saddam, CNN should consider itself fortunate if it isn't charged with crimes against humanity. (I know I dreaming, but it such a nice dream.)

Just for today, for what he did, I won't post my usual, HORRIBLE picture of Barney Frank. Although leaving it to your imagination might be even worse...

CNN:Many blogs have taken Mr. Jordan’s remarks out of context.

Ah, yes, CNN. If you get caught in a malicious, anti-American, anti-Military LIE, is the best solution to top it off with an even BIGGER LIE!

Don't you get it, CNN? When assertions are repeated and repeated, they can't be taken out of context. Repeated assertions ARE context. You do know this, don't you?

I have this little feeling that the mendacious "out-of-context" claim might even get a life (or should I say "context") of its own.

Jeez, I did my best to help CNN out. I wrote the reports up as a news article ("CNN Exec Claims American Troops Executing Journalists") and sent it in on their Breaking News/Tip hotline.

Haven't gotten so much as a "thank you"...
