I really hope there isn't much attention brought to the ink stained finger. That symbolism for struggle of oppressed people that wish to be free belongs to the Iraqis. ... Hmmm - I think it'd be be just grand for us to show solidarity with them - and we (the US) did have a lot to do with them getting the vote - lots of military and familes, many giving the ultimate...
But I'll clobber any lib who shows a blue finger

I agree with bah. The Iraqis were the voters dodging mortars and potential suicide bombers. It's their freedom. Let's let them have their symbol.

The problem with that is that it may just turn into a lame partisan stunt that would take away some of the value of the symbolism away from the Iraqis. Its risky and I think it reeks of attention whorishness.
