Not quite true. First, the religious Jews were butchered, along with the Christians by the "jews" of the party, who were jews by nationality but the typical leftist scum like all the others.
Stalin later supported Israel and was the first to recognize it. It was established as a socialist state that opposed the British and the French, and thus was a natural ally to Stalin. When the rich Jews in the US influenced the US government to swing Israel's support towards America and away from Stalin, Stalin created a "jewish" homeland in south central Siberia, on the Chinese border. This was not mass murder or exile, many Jews who were Communists went there willingly and others were persuaded, both negatively and positively. Of course, somewhere down the line, Stalin changed his mind and under cut the supplies for building the settlements (what's new?).
The Doctor's Plot was actually an excuse to purge out Krushchov, Molotov, Baria and the others, which is why they poisoned Stalin on the eve of the purges.
Stalin sought to send all Soviet Jews to Birobaidzhan.
BTW jb6, Stalin supported the creation of Israel to push the British out and then he expected it to become Communist. The British were in fact pushed out, but M. Begin's Irgun completely frustrated his plan to make Israel a Soviet puppet.
