The only viable "palestinian solution" is the Gaza strip, Jordan, Egypt, Syria and parts northward, eastward and southward, from whence they came.

The Israelis need to deal with the palestinians as the U.S. dealt with the Cherokees....

Here's a thought, carve out a 'viable, contiguous' 'nation' for the Arabs erroneously called 'Palestinian' anywhere else in the vast Islamic world.

But, no. Obviously shrinking little Israel, only the size of a decent county here in the US, is the only thing that will appease Jew-haters.

Sooner or later Israel is going to have to get off the teat of American Aid, so it can make decisions purely on what is best for Israel, not what appeases the scummy, pro-communist Dept. of State.

Just as our own states are blugeoned by Federal extortion money to accept decrees from Washington or else, Israel has allowed itself to be manipulated by aid dollars into doing nearly suicidal acts.

The Carter Administration managed to convince Israel to give up the Sinai in exchange for a phony 'peace.' This would have made Israel a more 'sustainable' nation, producing some of its own oil. The Bubba Administration won the Arabs 99% of all their quite unreasonable demands. Only the Arabs foolishness prevented that blunder, which would of made Israel the size of a smallish county in Texas.

Now, it seems, the Bush administration wants to continue the game of shrinking Israel into a completely non-viable state. I am at a loss to understand why we feel compelled to appease the Arabs. They are not, nor will they ever be friendly to our country. Sure, they have oil, but we're controlling the worlds 2nd largest known reserve at the moment. If OPEC wanted to play dirty with the US, they missed their chance.

While Israel is not always our best friend, at least they have western values and are reasonable. They are a nation with actual free elections. They actually value individuals, unlike all their neighbors.

Won't happen. Even if the Israelis are stupid enough to give up this land "for peace" just like Barak was back in '00, the Arabs, as usual, will turn over the table and run away screaming.

Perhaps the key to the gap is to be found in the letter Bush sent Sharon after their talks, in which he referred only to the 1949 armistice lines set after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war and avoided any reference to the 1967 frontier.

I say, let's hold them to it..

The '49 armistice agreement was immeadiately violated by the Jordanians..
They took lands that were ceded to Israel according to the documents.. In both Judea and Samaria..
I say, let them talk about '49 and the armistice all they want, then hold them to the letter of the documents, the letter of the agreement...

The Palis will suddenly find they are being moved out of land they thought would be theirs..
