SENATOR KERRY ASKED TO SIGN RECORDS RELEASE FORM

Watchdog Asks Kerry to Keep His Word Concerning Signing Standard Form 180

Kerry's Opportunity to Release Full Naval Service Record to the American People

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today asked Senator John F. Kerry to keep his word to the American public and sign a Standard Form 180 (SF 180), "Request Pertaining to Military Records." On Sunday, January 30, 2005, during an appearance on the NBC News show "Meet the Press," moderator Tim Russert asked Senator Kerry (three times) if he would sign an SF 180 and release all of his military records. On the third attempt Senator Kerry answered Mr. Russert plainly:

MR. RUSSERT: Would you sign Form 180?

SEN. KERRY: Yes, I will.

In a letter hand delivered to Senator Kerry's office, Judicial Watch asked him to execute the SF 180 immediately and thereby put to rest the controversies surrounding his service as a U.S. Navy officer.

Judicial Watch requested release of Senator Kerry's military service records under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"). Navy Personnel Command withheld thirty-one (31) pages of documents because Senator Kerry refused to sign an SF 180 and release them to the public. The records pertained to: "Personnel service jackets and service records, correspondence and records in both automated and non-automated form concerning classification, assignment, distribution, promotion, advancement, performance, recruiting, retention, reenlistment, separation, training, education, morale, personal affairs, benefits, entitlements, discipline and administration of naval personnel."

"Senator Kerry has yet to come clean with the American people," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "We hope he will finally keep his promise to release his military records."

Much of the information concerning Sen. Kerry's questionable awards for valor, and allegations concerning his actions both on Active Duty and as an Inactive Naval Reserve officer was detailed in the best-selling book "Unfit for Command," by John E. O'Neill and Jerome R. Corsi, PhD.

MR. RUSSERT: Many people who've been criticizing you have said: Senator, if you would just do one thing and that is sign Form 180, which would allow historians and journalists complete access to all your military records. Thus far, you have gotten the records, released them through your campaign. They say you should not be the filter. Sign Form 180 and let the historians...

SEN. KERRY: I'd be happy to put the records out. We put all the records out that I had been sent by the military. Then at the last moment, they sent some more stuff, which had some things that weren't even relevant to the record. So when we get--I'm going to sit down with them and make sure that they are clear and I am clear as to what is in the record and what isn't in the record and we'll put it out. I have no problem with that.

MR. RUSSERT: Would you sign Form 180?

SEN. KERRY: But everything, Tim...

MR. RUSSERT: Would you sign Form 180?

SEN. KERRY: Yes, I will. But everything that we put in it, Tim--everything we put in--I mean, everything that was out was a full documentation of all of the medical records, all of the fitness reports. And I'd call on those who have challenged me, let's see their records. I want to see the records of each of those people who have put up a challenge, because some of them have some serious questions in them, and it hasn't been appropriate...

MR. RUSSERT: So they should sign Form 180s for themselves as well?

SEN. KERRY: You bet.

"I thought Kerry left himself some weasel room and said he'd sign it only after he knew what was in it?"

He needs to send Sandy berger in to review it for him. (And remove all damaging items from the file with another pants stuffing routine.)

Russert is much better than the rest of the left wing media- and he does have his moments,

but sometimes he holds back, I don't know why.

My thoughts also.

The next question to be asked Kerry: "When will you sign it?"

He knows that the information contained in them will force the rest of the Senate to remove him from office.

"His pen is out of ink. His wife has his pen. He left his pen in Iraq in his SUV."

Correction:"...in his FAMILY'S SUV!" Also, he was delivering weapons to the Khamer Rouge who had yet to form in 1968 but Senator Jacques never let a fact get in the way of his lying.

Its hard to believe that in this day and age a man can run for the highest office and not release medical records or info about his service in war. Thats something most men would be proud to release even if they were not on the front line and the record was not so hot. At least they served and did a decent job. Kerry has some serious issues on his record and thats why he will not release them just like slick never released medical records but the MSM and the dems went ballistic on W and he had to release everything.

You honestly don't think that this lying, traitorous, treasonous, crybaby is actually going to keep his word do you? That would mean he had some inkling of what the word "honor" meant.

SO9,

I would be much more impressed with Tim if he had whipped an SF180 out when Kerry agreed...

Now that would have been nice... {dream mode on...}

Everyone's ignoring the escape hatch Kerry included:

> "And I'd call on those who have challenged me,
> let's see their records."

Of course, he didn't name "those", so even if O'Neill
and all the signers of the letter in UFC release their
SF-180s, JfK will find someone else who hasn't.

And if "those" folks are smart, they won't submit
their signed 180s until Kerry does.

He won't sign, but at least he's finally been confronted
on it by the lamestream media.

I guess a weasel always leaves himself some weasel room.
"New and Improved" documents are what will be turned out, if anything.

MR. RUSSERT: Would you sign Form 180?

SEN. KERRY: Yes, I will.

MR. RUSSERT: Thank you Senator.

SEN. KERRY: Now remember Tim, don't ask that question when the camera is on okay.

MR. RUSSERT: Um, it is already on Senator.

SEN. KERRY: oh oh! I meant to say its none of your business!

MR. RUSSERT: Senator, that is so wrong but considering you're a Democrat we have to give you a pass on that one.
