Not to mention the fact that with legal concealed carry, the murderer may have never attempted to mug with impunity in the first place!!

I ask this question in all seriesness: NYC has the lowest homicide rate by far of any big city in the United States despite having perhaps the strictest gun control laws in the Country. Are there any big cities in which concealed carry is allowed and if so, what is the homicide rate in those cities as compared to NYC?

BTW, outside of NYC obtaining a concealed carry permit is not all that difficult if your're a law abiding citizen. I've gone to courthouses in some of the more rural counties where one of the first signs you see is "Please Check Your Firearm With Court Security." Also, with a carry permit, I can go into any bar or restaurant outside of NYC with a concealed firearm, as long as the owner of the place doesn't object, which is more than I can say for some of the places I've been to in Texas. I've been to some roadhouses up in the Catskill Mountains where they probably wouldn't let you in unless you were carrying concealed or open on the hip.

I posted this thread comparing Glasgow Scotland with other cities of similar size.
