The regents refused to take public comment at their meeting....A wise move. Their kind would just perpetuate the embarrassment.
Churchill...has promised to sue the school if he is removed.
Good for him; I hope he keeps this alive and in the front pages for as long as possible. I want his apologizers at the top to twist and squirm for as long as possible.

Given the level of acrimony he has engendered, this should probably say "has promised to sue the school if he survives".
I just spent some time out in that part of Colorado (my son lives near Boulder), and most people there aren't as tolerant as the presence of that University would suggest.
There're actually a lot of country folks there, and they'll straighten you right up if you get out of line.
If he pisses the Indians off too much more with his phony native heritage claims, every Indian in the country will want to kick his ass as well (rightfully so, he's a punk).
