It's certainly possible. I would wager that many, if not all, elected officials get all sorts of crackpot mail and so on. Even if nominally true, it's obviously a crafted strategy, an attempt to equate EVERYONE who has "issues" with the election as cut from the same cloth. The so-called liberals are masters at this sort of thing.
