No surprise that the first voice to pipe up and call this incredible moment "staged" was Chrissy Matthews. He has constantly yapped about the Iraqis not being happy that we "invaded" their country and he and Ron P. could not cope with being confronted with the truth.

It hurts their brains to even begin to contemplate that our emotions are real, not staged gimmicks.

I'm glad someone was able to put into words the thoughts I had and tried to write down myself. That hug was loaded with *huge* amounts of meaning--truly one of television's greatest moments IMHO.

"It had become common for many on the Left to cry crocodile tears for the dead and injured, to use those deaths and injuries as an ideological weapon against the merits and justifications for the war."

"But the tears we saw shed on Wednesday night, and the tears we shed ourselves while watching, were the real thing. Sgt. Norwood and all those who have served and are still serving in Iraq have made the world a better place. All glory properly goes to them at a moment of genuine triumph."

Anyone remeber if Chrissy called Clinton on his obviously-faked emotion at Ron Brown's funeral?
