Already posted here, with over 200 replies.

So what's your point?

Why don't you go start a vanity thread about how search for duplicate threads when searches with every key word comes up empty.

Thanks for posting the story.

Don't let the 'already posted here' police scare you off.

I agree with your comments, but the girls should've known better than to bother somebody at 10:30pm.

It is a little late, but in their defense, they only stopped at houses that had lights on inside (i.e., someone awake).

Thanks. Actually, I'm as hard on myself as any of the 'Police'.

About the only things I don't like in the FR System are the numerous duplicate threads which fragment all of the excellent points and ideas and the Spell Checker. Otherwise a great place.

Duplicate threads are not all bad.

If some enterprising freeper in California posts a story at midnight Pacific time that is 3:00 am to me.

If I check into FR at 8:00 am, I would miss the story unless it was in sidebar.

And for those who don't check in until noon or 5 pm, the story is long gone.

So duplicate threads allow every one the chance to reply to the story while it is still hot.

The only thing I would change about FR is this: I would like to check in and see what the most popular threads were for the day.

Granted, you can scroll through pages and pages under the "Messages" tab, but I rarely do that. ("Saddle Club Thread #6432" "ZOT Jewish Mods Rule! post 43,786")

But that is my only complaint. I agree with the FR homepage- FR can get addicting.

FR IS addictive.

What I would really like to see is some kind of thread structure (resented as an alternative to the present - Not a replacement) that would give an overview of the threads. Maybe something like .. shudder .. DU only not so damn confusing. That way a Pac Coast Freeper would have the same overview and a three hour old thread would still be visible instead of having to scroll through several hundred posts.

Just thinking out loud.

The Denver Post reported Friday that the girls had decided to stay home and bake the cookies rather than go to a dance where there might be cursing and drinking.

“The victory wasn’t sweet,” Young said. “I’m not gloating about it. I just hope the girls learned a lesson.”

Yeah, so next time they probably will go to the party and drink and start cursing like a high school gym coach.

And I would like the "Pings" button on each thread to tell you if you have posts.

Right now you have to be on a main page to be notified.

All in all, I am extreemely happy with the site.

Of course, if my "improvements" were used I would probably never leave the site and my wife would kill me.

I agree. Very happy. One other thing I would do in addition to all the design changes we are talking about - Open a separate window for a post so that you can get back to the thread without losing your typing or having to copy paste when you return.

I agree with your comments, but the girls should've known better than to bother somebody at 10:30pm.

I hire a number of teenage girls each year (minds out of the gutter now, please!), and I can easily see them doing something like this, innocently and in good fun, without a second thought.

Especially after having multiple opportunities to show good grace over this, the old woman is just being a cast-iron bitch.

Bloomfield Hills. I'm thinking about having a FReeper Barbecue or something like that - Maybe in Aug. Saving names of Mich FReepers. I think it is a good idea don't you?

Thank you for posting this part. I'd first seen this story on another thread but nothing was mentioned that the woman was not alone. The hospital costs and a personal apology should've been enough, but suing went too far. However, I don't understand why she was so frightened, unless she's had some sort of house intrusion situation before.
