Think this way,,,A black box records , that all it does..It does not make the vehicle run...After that is something else..............Southron And Proud Of It...............
The safest thing to do would be to impound the car and find a friendly judge to give you a search warrant.
I personally feel that a warrant should be necessary, but I am unwilling to predict how the courts would come out on the issue. I'm not aware of any decisions on point.
It isn't your car until after that last payment.
My Bad...New to this...no excuse,,just a reason.
Your welcome.???
I don't understand.
Can you explain or elaborate - why is it, literally: "my welcome" in this case?
I see people using this same terminology: "Your welcome" all the time and it just doesn't make sense ...
"You're welcome" (literally, the contraction "you are" and "welcome") I could see, and as well, understand, but "your welcome" does not compute ...
Still gotta pay tax/tag..or they'll come get it
From your profile it appears you are almost 30 years old.
I hope you live to be "OLD".
I do, I DO !!!
I said your welcomeIs - is it, could it be that - it's just bad english on your part that is confusing me - and - and you are not aware of it?
Okay, let me wre-write that last sentance so I can get a better picture of what's going on:
Is - is it, could it be that - it's just bad english on your part that is confusing me - and your not aware of it?
I think I'm catching on, I think I've figured it out, but since I didn't attend strictly 'publik skools' during my early years I have trouble, sometimes, with this "neu ing-lish" of today ...
Just recognize that privacy is a concept from the past. Everbody has much to be kept close to the vest, but the future is openness of all to the gov't. The trick will be to have a similar openness of gov't to the public.
LOL. I corrected a Freeper on a similar error, as I have been corrected on one before, and he jumped all over me!
Now I recall, it was an article about IQ, and he spelled bright, "brite". I think it's not a mortal sin when quickly typing to produce an error or two. I also think it's OK to point them out now and then, for us "sticklers".
>>> Anybody know if flight data recorders can be used for criminal and civil proceedings? I thought they were used only for the safety investigation, but I could be wrong.
I understand that the pilots union fought the introduction of FDRs until certain legal issues were settled. There is also a presumption of privacy, such as we saw on the edited 9/11 cockpit tapes and the edited Challenger tapes.
FDRs record the last 30 minutes of conversation. Would you want the last 30 minutes of conversation in your car replayed in a courtroom, in a criminal proceeding?
How about a divorce proceeding, or in probate court?
Forget criminal proceedings. How about civil suits against your estate? How about provided to insurance companies, who get to review the information for ANY reason to deny a claim?
Forget privacy laws providing help in this area. Just ask Kobe Bryant or his accuser.
I just feel like being obtuse tonight, or, as one poster's moniker puts it: "Excuse_My_Bellicosity".
<grin>
