MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee mother was sent to jail Thursday for the death of her 2-month-old son in a tug o' war over the infant with the child's father.
Annette O'Neal was sentenced to serve eight months in the Milwaukee County House of Correction with release privileges for employment and school.
She and the baby's father, Brandon Davis, were fighting over where the baby was going to sleep.
There was an apparent tug o' war when the baby hit the wall and died.
O'Neal has been ordered to have no contact with Davis and must take parenting classes. She was also sentenced to five years on probation.
The baby's father is scheduled to be sentenced March 18.
Too late for parenting classes.

She should have read the story about King Solomon judging between 2 women who both claimed to be the mother of a baby. The real mother was willing to give the child up in order to save its life. Solomon then awarded custody to that true mother.

How do you do a tug a war with a two month old anyway without KNOWING you are going to kill him?
Both "parents" should be in jail for at least ten years.
In cases like this, I am for cruel and unusual punishment.
These two dumba$$es need to be put to the rack and stretched a bit and then dashed against a cinder block wall until they are dead. Period.

One other thing I don't get (but really do), bash a MAN's head in out of a fit of rage and you get 35 years to life. Kill a two month old baby by trying to pull it in two and then "accidentally" slam it against a wall and only serve a couple of months.
How sad.
That's what I thought was amazing --- giving the moron "parenting class" for murdering her baby. What about sterilization? It seems sterilation of child killers would be at least the minimum treatment.
Pot heads get more time then that...
Perhaps they go into the jail, perhaps they don't go back out.

If I read one more story about children being killed or abused, I think I'll be sick. I think I've seen 5 just today, like those florida nuts they found in Utah...
heard about the Florida couple who tortured their SEVEN children? They were searching for them last I heard, took all 7 kids into protective custody. The most horrible description of abuse I've ever heard, started with ripping out their toenails with pliers...made me sick to my stomach...can't wait until they are in prison for their true sentence

the article says 30 yrs. to life....hopefully death by their future fellow inmates. The kids were all adopted in '95 to remove them from abusive homes to a loving caring home, the picture of the mother reminds me of Sybil's mother in the movie Sybil...they spared 2 of the 7, their lucky favorites, the rest were kept in a closet with wind chimes on the door to make sure they stayed in the closet...the whole story is disgusting........
I have to stop clicking on these threads that I know are just going to upset me.
